Prior to joining May & Baker, Mrs. Essien served as Head of Human Resources at Smackers Limited (Owners of The Place Restaurant, Bar and Hotels), where she spearheaded talent management, organizational development, and strategic HR initiatives. She also garnered valuable experience over fifteen (15) years in various capacities at UAC of Nigeria Plc, one of Nigeria's oldest and most respected conglomerates, where she honed her expertise in Quality Assurance before transitioning into human resources leadership roles.

Mrs. Essien holds a B.Sc Degree in Biochemistry and a Master's Degree in Human Resources & Industrial Relations (MHRIR).
